Internships
Ministry Internships are available through Biblical
Seminary to students who have completed at least one
year at the seminary. This program provides students
with an opportunity for supervised participation in
a ministry, including an evaluation and classroom discussion with a professor and peers (PT 650 Ministry Internship Seminar). The internship requires 100 hours of service per credit (3 credits).
Objectives:
- To provide students with opportunities to test
their gifts for ministry and to receive counsel
concerning the pursuit of ministry.
- To provide students
with opportunities for supervised participation
in various aspects of ministry.
- To enable students
to integrate their academic work with the practical
responsibilities and challenges of ministry.
- To
develop skills necessary for ministry.
- To encourage
students to cultivate a consistent relationship
with Christ that will be exemplified in their personal
piety, family commitment, disciplined lifestyle,
and Christ-like character.
Prerequisites: To qualify an MDiv
student must have satisfactorily completed 24 hours
of work at Biblical Seminary, including PT 500 Formation & Mission (or its equivalent).
An MA student must have satisfactorily completed 12
hours of work at Biblical, including PT 500. Exceptions to these prerequisites will be made on a case by case basis.
