Master of Divinity MDiv

Master of Divinity (MDiv) Program

The Master of Divinity (MDiv) is the foundational degree for Christian vocation. Our entire curriculum has been crafted in pursuit of learning and growing in love for the missional character of God and to train leaders to shepherd God’s people in pursuit of God’s global Kingdom mission in each community’s distinct context.

It is through Biblical’s MDiv that we are ever mindful of this rich, Gospel-shaped vision as we study the church, conscious that we do so as one small part of a global community that God’s Spirit has cultivated. We understand ourselves to be part of a conversation that encompasses not only Western Christianity but also the global church, not only our time but also the ages past, not only men but also women, not only the educationally and economically privileged but also the unprivileged.

BTS Master of Divinity Students…

  • Grow as missional leaders in secular and Christian environments.
  • Choose from concentrations that serve their ministry goals.
  • Select language study as a requirement or as an option.
  • Graduate equipped to pursue additional PhD or additional DMin degrees.
  • Find full time or part time learning opportunities that work for them.
  • Maximize their future opportunities by choosing an accredited seminary.

"BTS is an evangelical seminary that encourages open dialogue around God's Word and the theological matters surrounding it. I didn't have to worry about holding the party line; rather, at BTS, I was simultaneously challenged by my professors and peers to think differently while always being treated as a valued member of the discussion."

-Evan Curry, MDiv '10
