Celebrating God’s Faithfulness
At a recent celebration of God’s faithfulness to BTS, Dr. Karen Sawyer, Board Chair and Rachel Gallagher (MDiv ’11) spoke on their callings to Biblical, and the impact the seminary is making with the gospel. Please enjoy both of their testimonies below.

Your giving supports them as they prepare to shape the church and impact the world.
E.K. Park, MDiv 2016
E.K.’s new faith instilled a passion for sharing the gospel. As his burden for evangelism grew, E.K. would go from sharing God’s love with his friends to serving as a missionary to China. While ministering in the underground church in China, E.K. sensed a calling to be further equipped for intercultural ministry. He searched for a seminary with diversity and a distinct passion for missions. After speaking with BTS grad Lee Shin Yeol at Kosin University in Busan, South Korea, E.K. knew that Biblical seminary was the right choice.
E.K. has thrived during his time at BTS. He serves in the admissions department with Dr. Chang Hoon Oh and is an intern at Bridge Community Church in Lansdale, PA where he has an active role in teaching, small groups, and missions. He has also been accepted as a potential student of Biola University’s Ph.D. program in Intercultural Studies. In the future, E.K. desires to equip international students to make a difference with the gospel among local churches in the U.S.
Clarence E. Wright, MA 2016
“A pastor with a heart for the neighborhood”
Clarence would go on to attend Temple University and receive a B.A. in Religion. During his time there he began serving at Love Zion Baptist Church in north Philadelphia. He would minister in various roles at this church for 14 years before being installed as the Senior Pastor. Speaking about his church Clarence says, “The neighborhood surrounding Love Zion has many challenges including poverty and violence, but I’ve found that the strong sense of community and determination is unmatched. When a bullet crashed through my office window it was a reminder to me how important our presence is.”
Motivated by a desire to see God change lives in north Philadelphia, Pastor Clarence sought out a seminary that would provide a theologically grounded and thoroughly practical education. He enrolled at BTS and this June will graduate with his master’s degree. In the future, he plans on enrolling in a doctoral program, and desires to use his education to effect change in the neighborhoods surrounding Love Zion Baptist Church.
The Consiglio Family
The Consiglio family began their faith journey 15 years ago after Jane (mother) started attending a Bible study with friends. Shortly thereafter Jane, her three children, and her husband Rocco would all surrender their lives to Christ.
Eventually, their family began attending Cornerstone Church in Easton, PA. There they were introduced to several friends and graduates of BTS. At Cornerstone Rocco, Jane, and their daughter Brianna developed a heart to serve hurting people. Desiring to be further equipped in ministry, and through the encouragement of friends of the seminary like Pat Millen, Jane and Rocco enrolled at BTS. Brianna, initially considering dental or law school, also felt God’s call to enroll at Biblical.
Both Jane and Brianna are MAC students. In the future, they would like to become Licensed Professional Counselors who care for women that have been victims of human trafficking. Brianna is also considering enrolling in a PsyD program in the future. Rocco will graduate with an MA in Ministry. In the future, he desires to continue serving with Cornerstone’s prison and homeless ministries. Also, he plans to join his wife and daughter in ministering to those involved in human trafficking. Rocco and Jane also have two sons (Rocco Jr. and Matthew) who attend The Citadel – a military college in South Carolina.
