Development Coordinator

Biblical Seminary is seeking a Development Coordinator for our Development office. The development coordinator will be responsible for managing data, generating reports, and providing general support to the development department.

Qualifications for this position are:

  • Personal and professional integrity
  • A commitment to fundraising as a ministry
  • Ability to work as a member of the development team
  • Able to prioritize and complete several projects simultaneously to meet required deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • Technical and analytical skills
  • Extensive computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products and standard office equipment. Functional working knowledge of donor management software preferred. Willing and able to learn new software as needed.
  • Communicates well in spoken and written forms
  • Two years of development experience preferred

Circulation Desk Assistant I

Biblical Seminary has an immediate opening for Circulation Desk Assistant I. The ideal candidate for this position will have a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, as well as the following qualifications:

  • The Circulation Desk Assistant 1 will be a person with a maturing Christian faith who understands the library’s mission and Biblical’s institutional mission and is committed to the fulfillment and development of both.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Aptitude for working with detailed procedures incorporating a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Good communication and relational skills with the ability to work with a team approach in supporting the library staff.

10 hours per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and one Saturday per month 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.)

(Posted 6/10/14) - Liberty Ministries is looking for a Full-time Resident Assistant who helps to maintain a stable environment for residents by living on the Liberty Ministries campus as a full time resident. Prospective person oversees as well as assists in the personal development of the residents. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the provisioning of supplies, transportation needs, house maintenance, safety, and medication distribution.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Provides support to residents in a safe environment through active listening, mentoring, mediation, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution. This includes ensuring resident compliance to the program and completion of resident reviews, status reports and resident reports as needed.
  • Facilitates and/or teaches bible studies, devotions and prayer gatherings, while also modeling Christian moral and character development.
  • Participates in conducting quarterly fire drills and reviewing the emergency exit plan with residents.
  • Responsible for planning, budgeting, purchasing, storage, and distribution of food and supplies. This includes accurate record keeping as well as meal planning, scheduling, and supervision of meal preparation that is done by the residents. Dispenses medications to residents as needed.
  • Transports residents in Liberty Ministries’ vehicles to and from work, appointments, activities, and events as needed.
  • Performs minor vehicle maintenance such as fueling, checking fluid levels, vacuuming, washing, and taking vehicles to maintenance shops. This includes keeping accurate mileage logs and submitting work orders for maintenance when necessary.
  • Upholds the standards and rules put in effect from time to time by the staff and Board of Directors of Liberty Ministries.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.

First UCC, Quakertown, PA

(Posted 5/11/14) - First UCC, Quakertown seeks a person called, gifted, and trained to work with youth, young adults, and modern worship. Deep faith in Jesus Christ as savior, teacher, and example is vital. We prefer someone who is recently graduated, available full time, and who, either now or in the future, will seek ordination. However, we will consider part time and/or experienced interest.

The interested person will begin with an existing youth group, 7th through 12th grade, with about a dozen active members and an equal number of occasional members. Responsibilities for youth will include regular group meetings, Christian teaching, mission trips, retreats, bonding, planning, individual growth in faith and practice, and numerical growth.

We have begun a monthly Saturday worship service that is informal, intimate, and interactive. The music is upbeat and contemporary. We are poised to increase worship frequency to every week. The interested person will be able to be a worship leader and will feel a strong call to bring in the young and the unchurched. Ability to use technology is a strong plus.
